One of the challenges couples have with planning date night is coming up with ideas on what to do. Typically when the idea of date night comes up the conversation goes something like this…
Him: “Cool. What do you want to do?”
Her: “I don’t know. Whatever you want to do is cool with me.”
Him: “I’m cool with whatever, just let me know…”
This merry-go-round continues until too much time has passed for you two to do anything except the usual channel surfing before bed.
“Date Night in a Box,” is one way to get rid of the indecision.
It’s pretty simple to do. The first step is to get a box of course, and next you fill it with your choice of date night activities. You can choose to have multiple boxes – each with a specific theme. For example, for him – one theme could be a Video Game Date Night. Fill your box with some fun games the both of you can play, your sticks, some snacks, and you’re ready! You can a competition element by placing bets on who would win or how well she would do if she’s not a gamer.
Here are some basic steps on how to make a date night box.
Another idea instead of themed boxes, it to create a big box with several different ideas, have your partner cover their eyes and whatever they pick out of the box is the date you’ll be on that night. The suspense and element of surprise can be a nice added bonus to the evening.
However you decide to go about doing it – just do it – and when date night comes, just open up the box and enjoy.
